Welcome!
Welcome to Grazing Bit Performance Horses. We are pleased to be able to offer a nice selection of prospects suitable for barrel racing, roping and the race track. We purchase mares that have proven pedigrees, great conformation and wonderful dispositions and expect them to produce the same. They feature the bloodlines of Sixarun, Takin On The Cash, Dean Miracle, Streakin Six, Runaway Winner, Hot Colours, Easy Jet, Dash For Cash, Special Effort, Marthas Six Moons, Shoot Yeah, Zevi (TB), Mr Dark Jet, Merridoc, Calyx, Sucha Oh, Digging For Gold and many more. We looked over hundreds of stallions and stallion prospects before selecting VF Burrs Eye to head our breeding program. Vegas has a disposition that is second to none. He is well balanced and has the heavy bone structure to breed soundness into his offspring. He also has excellent feet required to stand the strain of ranching, the arena and the track. His foals are eligible for the 5-State Breeders Barrel Futurity in Rapid City, SD. For more information on VF Burrs Eye please see his own page. Check out our NEW Jr stallion Rarely Outdone! Rarely is by 3x Champion and leading sire Rare Form si 120 and out of a AA daughter of All American Futurity Winner and Champion sire On A High. His 2nd dam is a AAA stakes winner/producer by Mighty Te. 3rd dam is a AAA stakes producer by Easy Jet. Rarely has a si 89, is a race winner and still raced SOUND at the age of 5. We have been using him around the ranch with plans of starting him on barrels in the spring. His foals are eligible for the Valley Girls Barrel Racing Association. Please see his page for pedigree and photos. We raise our horses out in big pastures where they learn to travel and grow as nature intended. They are brought in at weaning to halter break and turned back out for the winter. We get them back in several times a year to vaccinate & deworm until they are ready to start under saddle. We usually start them as 2 yr olds in the fall so they are ready to calve on as 3 yr olds. Horses we've sold have gone on to be excellent rope and ranch horses as well as barrel winners. Hannah Montey & Six Duster, a filly we sold in 2005 picked up checks at the major 1D's and futurities in 2007. Six also placed 5th in the 1st round at the Red Desert Derby in 2008. Jackies Sweetsuccess has done well and won $1500 in cash and prizes in '09 and shows potential for a very promising career as a barrel horse.
